The city of Gruyères

This city belongs to The Canton of Freiburg and has an old castle located on the top of a walled hill called Castle of Gruyères. It also contains a factory and cheese fair Greer of the best cheese production factories in the world and has been named after the area. Its location is near by a beautiful lake of the same name and the factory is located specifically in front of the train station Royer, which is directly in Pringy-Gruyères. The factory provides an opportunity for visitors to see and follow the stages of cheese production in the factory, and in one of the nearby villages there is a factory and the Gallery of The Calier chocolate as well as Maison Caller of Nestlé Food Industries. On the way to it, you will pass the wonderful stone bridge, Chemin de la Pépinere, which is a simple distance (not more than a kilometre). From the Gorges de la Jogne factory, you can use a footpath between the valleys, streams and small waterfalls, to reach a lake and a dam that holds the magical waters of Lake Montsslvens. You can also walk around the winding lake filled with beautiful natural surprises until you reach the village Charmey Gruyere and don't miss out on Dent du Chamois, the spectacular summit of Chamois!
